Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite FG Patta Waves White Black
Description / Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite FG Patta Waves White Black
Set the wave in motion. Designed in collaboration with Amsterdam-based streetwear label Patta, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite x Patta "Unite" colourway brings their signature wave pattern to the pitch. The result is a boot that captures the philosophy that the wave never exists alone — and neither do we. The left and right boots feature split colours: white on one, black on the other, each layered on a shimmering chrome base. An iridescent soleplate and cream laces complete the look.
Fine-tuned for responsiveness, the next-gen Mercurial features a cascading wave of traction at the forefoot that engages more of the Air Zoom unit when your foot meets the ground, generating increased energy return. It's simple but effective: spreading out the contact area maximises the effect of Zoom Air and keeps you faster for longer. The biggest of the wave studs sits at the same height as Nike's traditional middle studs, so traction is never compromised, while evolved chevron and blade studs work in tandem for quick directional changes.
Then there's the lightweight, minimalist upper, which combines multiple knit technologies in a design that brings you closer to the ball than ever before. It's the thinnest Mercurial upper to date, made up of just three layers: Flyknit provides the comfort, Atomknit the support, and Gripknit — that's right, the Mercurial has Gripknit now — the control. If you're not familiar with Gripknit, it's a sticky, pliable, weather-resistant yarn that enhances boot-to-ball connection and ensures your touch stays consistent in any situation. When you're dribbling at high speed, it helps you manipulate the ball with superior accuracy to evade opponents.
Patta branding appears across the upper, insole, and soleplate, with a mini Swoosh near the forefoot and "UNITE" badging on the lateral heel. The boot also comes with a Nike x Patta bracelet, featuring both brand logos and the Suriname flag, representing the roots of Patta's Amsterdam-based founders. Worn by players like Vinicius Jr, Marcus Thuram, Marcus Rashford, and Lauren James, this collaboration is built for players who rely on pace, quick acceleration and sharp changes of direction.
